My name is Roslyn Flett, I am the owner of Alternative Strokes Swim School which caters for children who have fears, phobias, disabilities, or are just beginning to get to know water.

The Cuddle Fish Australia Buoyancy Swim Suits are one of the best designed aids to help learners. There is support to keep them afloat, but unlike some other swimming aids, they do not impede any arm movements. (Arms are a swimmers major working limbs). Being in one piece, they cannot ride up like many others.

The second important point is that the buoyant assistance can be removed slowly, therefore empowering the child gently, a little at a time. This gives rise to a lift in confidence, as children can actually see and feel that they do have control over how their body behaves in water.

This garment is not a fashion item, it is a buoyancy item, not unlike a flotation aid, which would never be seen as clothing. Due to the attractive way it is presented, it could - but should not be confused with ordinary swimming costumes.

I recommend these for family outings and fun swimming for those not yet competent in water.

I would just like to say thank you for making the buoyancy swimsuit. I bought a suit just before Christmas for my 18 month old daughter who loves the water. I am just so overwhelmed by how much her ability to swim has improved since we got this suit for her. Before she had the suit I could not get her to kick her feet or paddle her arms however the suit has given her so much confidence in the water.

Within 2 times of her wearing the suit she would not let us hold her whilst swimming as she was confident enough to do it all on her own. We have been gradually taking out the floats and noticed her improvement. Who needs swimming lessons when you can have one of these suits and the Laurie Lawrence learn to swim DVD.

You won't believe it but my husband took our daughter to the local pool yesterday and met a couple who had their 19 month daughter with them. Apparently they were so surprised with our daughter's swimming ability that they asked my husband all about the buoyancy suit. Apparently they were most interested in the suit and were going home to check it out on the internet. When he came home and told me I told him that I had just emailed you earlier to comment on how good the suit was. How ironic!

I never knew about your suits until my aunty told me. We looked in loads of children's stores and sports shops to find a suit but could not find anything. I think you have a fantastic product and if you push the idea of how it improves your child's swimming ability you will certainly be a success. The suit is also great as it allows my husband and I to swim without having to hold on to our daughter. Have you tried sending some information to Jimbaroo, a children's learning and development organisation? Most parents who take their children there are right into their children's development.

Not only do I love the suit by so does my daughter. At Christmas time we camped at Myalls Shores Eco Resort on the water edge and we had so much relief/piece of mind with the suit. We also camped at Coffs Harbour park beach caravan Park and our daughter was able to use all the slippery slides into the pool as she was wearing the vest. We had 2 different people ask us about the suit.
